Business Operations Specialist

About the Role

Katalyst is looking for a Business Operations Specialist to join our inside sales team in support of keeping our clients at the center of what we do. We need a self-starter who moves with urgency, brings keen attention to detail, and is willing to collaborate often in a fast-paced environment to handle time-sensitive work. This role supports Account Managers and Account Executives, drives existing and new business within our client base, and helps generate comprehensive proposals. Katalyst will provide a supportive internal circle to aid in your development, including a peer mentor.

What You Would Own

• Close, productive, and efficient working relationships with the outside sales team in achieving quarterly objectives.
• Driving upsells across Katalyst services, software, and maintenance products and programs.
• Maintaining the highest levels of client satisfaction.
• Supporting assigned Account Managers across all opportunities, including quote building, deal registration, review of contract terms, order processing preparation, and client follow-up.
• Working overtime as workload requires during end of month, quarter, and year.
• Working closely within the Business Operations team to provide updates on in-flight business as needed.
• Performing other duties as assigned. Duties and responsibilities may change from time to time without notice.

What You Need to Have

Required Qualifications

• 1 to 4 years of professional work experience.
• An innate sense of urgency.
• A hunger to learn.
• Works well in a fast-paced environment.
• Solid instincts for sales support or customer service.
• Experience in the technology industry preferred but not required.
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite required.
• Salesforce, QuoteWerks, Autotask, or other CRM system experience.
• Well organized, with strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
• Adaptable, with the ability to take initiative and change direction often.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a VAR-type organization.
• Bachelor's degree.
