Break Up Your Day

It's not always easy to squeeze in a lunch break, but it's often necessary for our health and sanity. Taking a break mid-day will often set the tone for those last couple hours, and will determine how you feel throughout the afternoon. So why not make the most of it!

If you're in the Charlotte area and in need of a recommendation, local foodie and Katalyst Client Relations Manager, Christian Harkins, shared a list of his favorite lunch spots.

- Earl's Grocery (1609 Elizabeth Ave, Charlotte, NC, 28204): This is a small provision shop featuring daily specials and fresh deli items. Check out their meal features that are updated everyday on their social media platforms. Christian recommends the Breakfast Wrap for breakfast and the Strawberry Shortcake Salad when they feature it on their menu.

- Roots Cafe (2135 Southend Drive, Charlotte, NC, 28203): New to Southend, this cafe prides themselves on only serving fresh, quality and locally sourced food. Check out this place if you want to enjoy a top-notch sandwich or salad and a cool, cozy atmosphere.

- Common Market (2007 Commonwealth Ave, Charlotte, NC, 28205): The Common Market is a neighborhood hub where delicious food, cold drinks, and unique blend of people create a good time. It's a popular lunch spot, so to avoid waiting in lines, order ahead on their website. The best part is, within the next few months they will have a location that's walking distance from our Charlotte office - score!

- 7th Street Public Market (224 E 7th Street, Charlotte, NC, 28202): Located in Uptown Charlotte, this lively indoor market hosts local shops, bars, bakeries & a variety of counter-serve eateries. Whether you want to experiment with a sushi burrito or go with a classic sandwich or slice of pizza, there is something for everyone there.

As always, if you're visiting, or in need of a new place, don't hesitate to reach out us as we have team members all across the Carolinas and we would be happy to send you to some of our favorite places!
