Katalyst is looking to hire a motivated individual to join our company as an Engineer, Managed Services. As part of our technical team, you will provide proactive, technical expertise while focusing on customer loyalty and building long-term client relationships. You will work to deliver market-leading managed services using a proactive approach focused on the client’s business and suggesting new and innovative ways to keep them succeeding with Katalyst solutions. As Engineer, Managed Services you will help set the standard for delivering a great client experience and help build a world-class managed services practice. ​

 

Job Functions:  

  • Implementing best practices, managing critical managed services metrics, and delivering a world-class managed services experience.

  • Working with internal teams and clients to deliver the highest level of service.

  • Provide subject matter expertise on platform technologies such as remote monitoring and management (RMM), ticketing systems, and other operational platforms.

  • Provide client-facing guidance for complex technology issues involving internal and external technical resources until resolved.

  • Evaluate and implement new technologies to maintain market leadership in managed services.

  • Support and optimize Microsoft 365 and Azure including core Microsoft products such are SharePoint, Exchange, and Teams. 

  • Implement, support, and optimize virtualization, storage, compute, and backup technologies.

  • Experience supporting Active Directory and LDAP environments including knowledge of security best practices.

  • Self-motivated, proactive, and works independently to accomplish key company objectives and service delivery functions for valued clients.

  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proven listening, analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Comfortable interacting with clients at all levels during presales support, technical troubleshooting, and quarterly business reviews.

  • Detail-oriented and outstanding time-management skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

 

Job Requirements: 

Education

  • Undergraduate degree in relevant field or equivalent work experience

 

Work Experience

  • 3+ years systems / infrastructure support experience required

  • 3+ years managing Azure and O365 environments preferred

  • 2+ years deploying or supporting data center technologies (virtualization, storage, compute, backup)

  • Experience with Remote Monitoring and Management solutions and support ticketing systems

 

Certifications Preferred

  • Microsoft Azure Administration 

  • Microsoft O365 Enterprise Administration or similar

  • VMware Data Center Certification (VCP, VCTA)

  • Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL)

  • Security certifications (Security+ or equivalent)

  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or Meraki certifications
