ACCOUNT MANAGER

Katalyst will hire an Account Manager to join our outside sales team. We are looking for a energetic self-starter to propel an existing client base forward while simultaneously driving new business development efforts within an assigned territory. Our Account Managers take a consultative business-to-business sales approach to understand their client’s unique business objectives. They work hand in hand with marketing, solutions architecture, engineering and project management in building tailored technology solutions that focus on business outcomes within the cybersecurity, cloud and IT infrastructure space. To be a successful Account Manager at Katalyst you must have the ability to understand the complexities of various technology solutions as well as coordinate and cultivate relationships with our clients, team members at Katalyst and vendor partners within the community. 

 

Job Functions: 

  • Achieve and ultimately exceed sales and service objectives on a quarterly basis.  

  • Cultivate deep relationships with existing clients and new prospects by acting as their advocate in adding value to their organization. 

  • Collaborate closely with the overall organization in driving upsells in Katalyst’s Services, Software, Products and Programs. 

  • Work closely with Marketing in strategic business development campaigns to bring in new clients with strategic demand generation campaigns. 

  • Aim to maintain the highest levels of client satisfaction.   

  • Build out proposals with accuracy and attention to detail. 

  • Participate in comprehensive presentations on proposals while handling price negotiation and objections with ease.

  • Grow from a professional roadmap that includes independent study, shadowing, and ultimately building on existing proficiency in the skills required for consultative technology sales.

  • Performs other duties as assigned and required.  Duties and responsibilities may change from time to time without notice and include but are not limited to the duties described above.  

  

Qualifications

  • Proven track record of driving sales of services through taking a consultative sales approach.  

  • Prior experience or strong understanding of working in the Information Technology or Management Consulting industries. 

  • Possess strong business acumen and an executive presence. 

  • Self-starter with adaptability to work in an agile environment. 

  • Proficiency in completing detailed tasks quickly under tight deadlines. 

  • Ability to maintain strict confidence due to sensitivity of information being managed.

  • Strong desire to bring order to chaos in an environment where priorities can shift frequently. 

  • Salesforce.com / CRM experience a plus. 

  • Bachelors Degree preferred.
