About the Role
This is a full-time, hybrid role combining onsite and remote work. The Senior Solutions Architect serves as the technical leader within the presales organization, partnering with sales teams to architect and propose complex IT solutions across networking, security, and hybrid cloud technologies.
This senior role requires deep technical expertise across multiple domains and the ability to lead solution design, build accurate Bills of Materials, scope professional services engagements, and define managed services offerings. You will act as a trusted technical advisor to both customers and internal teams, ensuring proposed solutions align with customer business objectives while remaining profitable and technically sound.
Responsibilities
Solution Design & Architecture
- Lead the design of complex, multi-vendor IT solutions spanning network infrastructure, security, collaboration, and hybrid cloud technologies.
- Conduct technical discovery sessions to understand customer requirements, existing infrastructure, and future roadmap.
- Develop solution architectures optimized for performance, security, scalability, and cost.
- Perform technical assessments of customer environments to identify gaps, risks, and opportunities.
- Create high-level and low-level design documentation, network diagrams, and technical proposals.
Presales Delivery
- Build accurate Bills of Materials for hardware, software, licensing, and support.
- Scope professional services engagements including planning, resourcing, timelines, and deliverables.
- Define managed services offerings with service descriptions, SLAs, and pricing models.
- Develop technical proposals, Statements of Work, and RFP/RFI responses.
- Lead technical presentations, demonstrations, and proof-of-concept activities.
Customer Engagement
- Serve as the primary technical point of contact during the presales cycle.
- Facilitate technical discussions with C-level executives, IT directors, and security teams.
- Lead whiteboard sessions to collaboratively design solutions and address objections.
- Secure technical buy-in from stakeholders to achieve technical close.
Collaboration & Teamwork
- Collaborate with account managers, sales executives, and business development to drive opportunities forward.
- Coordinate with engineering and project management for a seamless handoff to delivery.
- Partner with vendors such as Cisco, Fortinet, and Microsoft to leverage their expertise.
Qualifications
- 7+ years in Network Infrastructure and/or Cybersecurity Engineering delivery or design.
- 5+ years in technical presales, solution architecture, or network/security engineering.
- 3+ years in a VAR, MSP, systems integrator, or technology consulting environment.
- Proven track record designing and delivering complex, multi-vendor IT solutions.
- Solid understanding of professional services and managed services business models.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent experience.
Required Skills
- Exceptional communication, able to present complex concepts to any audience.
- Strong executive presence and ability to engage C-level stakeholders.
- Advanced whiteboarding and technical presentation skills.
- Strong commercial awareness of pricing, margins, and profitability.
- Ability to manage multiple complex opportunities at once.
- Proficiency with CRM (Salesforce, HubSpot) and design tools (Visio, Lucidchart).

- Microsoft Azure infrastructure and services (networking, identity, security).
- Hybrid cloud connectivity (ExpressRoute, VPN Gateway, Virtual WAN).
- Cloud security architecture (Microsoft Defender, Azure Firewall).
- Microsoft Teams and Microsoft 365 collaboration services.
- Data center switching and routing (Cisco Nexus, ACI).
- Virtualization platforms (VMware vSphere, Hyper-V).
