Job Description

Katalyst is seeking an Account Executive to help hit our aggressive net new sales goals. In this role, you will primarily prospect, engage, and qualify managed services opportunities. You and your SDR counterparts will be mutually responsible for outbound business development, then the AE will lead the sales cycle for all opportunities discovered until close. Additionally, you will identify professional services and product opportunities for the broader sales team to help qualify and close.

You will be responsible for sales activity and will be expected to generate a high volume of meetings and pipeline each month. This role is on the Business Development & Marketing team and reports to the Director, Business Development and Marketing.

Additionally, we expect this to be a hybrid role, with 3 days in the Charlotte, NC office per week.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Managing of deals with our Managed Services offerings from discovery to close with the goal of onboarding net new clients to Katalyst
  • Consistent activity of phone calls, emails, social outreach, referral-based and in person networking (events / tradeshows)
  • Identify potential professional services and product opportunities to provide to the wider sales team to close
  • Work with the Marketing team to develop sales enablement collateral on all major campaigns
  • Work with a team of Account Managers to ensure company goals and team growth goals are met
  • Use Salesforce to keep your performance organization
  • Use Outreach for your campaign organization
  • Use ZoomInfo for identifying prospects and contacts in our ideal client profile
  • Become an expert in Managed Service offerings to better understand and serve our customers and prospects

 

Required Experience/Skills

  • Experience with prospective business development for 2+ years
  • (NOT REQUIRED BUT HELPFUL) Experience in the IT or managed services business
  • Proven ability to generate positive conversations with prospects over the phone, email, or in person
  • Proficiency in Salesforce and Outreach
  • Ability to form relationships across the Katalyst organization
  • Positive, persuasive communicator
  • Self-starter; organization and time management skills

 

Education

  • Undergraduate degree in any field
