Katalyst will hire a Solutions Engineer possessing our core values of humility, grit, and curiosity. This role requires an individual with the capacity to simplify the complex and use relevant & creative storytelling while engaging in client conversations. Our ideal candidate has a dynamic technical foundation in Cybersecurity, infrastructure, or cloud services to build upon. As a Solutions Engineer at Katalyst, we will provide a career roadmap encompassing training, learning, and shadowing opportunities to set you up for success as a Solutions Engineer. 

 

As a Solutions Engineer you will work closely with our sales team to drive productivity and opportunity flow by securing the “technical close” for complex IT solutions. We don’t need your technical know how to implement the solution, but are seeking an agreeable, problem solving brain to scope it through active listening and client expectation alignment. If you equally possess a strong ability to command a room alongside the technical background we desire to build upon, this could be the role for you!

Job Functions:  

  • Adhere to a defined professional roadmap that includes independent study, shadowing, and ultimately showcasing proficiency in the variety of skills required for consultative technology solution design. 

  • Documentation of complete solution proposals through technical writing, proposal generation, building statements of work, in addition to creating bill of materials. 

  • Align to your assigned Account Manager’s schedule while traveling as needed for customer scoping calls, routine client monthly meetings, and in-person executive delivery of solutions. 

  • Cultivate deep relationships with existing clients and new prospects by acting as their advocate in adding value to their organization.

  • Work to maintain the highest levels of client satisfaction. 

  • Leverage our current network of partner affiliates while growing these relationships.

  • Performs other duties as assigned and required. Duties and responsibilities may change from time to time without notice and include but are not limited to the duties described above.

 

 

Qualifications/Experience: 

  • 5-10 years of experience working in the Technology industry.

  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills.

  • Dynamic personality with focused attention balancing detail and quality with speed and agility.

  • Strong work ethic and desire to contribute and succeed in a fast-paced work environment.

  • Prior success supporting complex IT environments.

  • Architecture Expertise in Cybersecurity, Cloud, and Infrastructure a plus.

  • Salesforce or similar CRM experience a plus.

  • Strong problem solving and client service skills.

  • Strong analytical skills with ability to handle multiple projects/deadlines simultaneously.

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
