Katalyst is looking to hire a motivated individual to join our company as a Senior Engineer, Managed Services. As part of our technical team, you will provide proactive, technical expertise while focusing on customer loyalty and building long-term client relationships. You will work to deliver market-leading managed services using a proactive approach focused on the client’s business and suggesting new and innovative ways to keep them succeeding with Katalyst solutions. As a Sr. Engineer, Managed Services you will help set the standard for delivering a great client experience and help build a world-class managed services practice. ​

 

Job Functions:  

• Implementing best practices, managing critical managed services metrics, and delivering a world-class managed services experience.

• Working with internal teams and clients to deliver the highest level of service.

• Provide subject matter expertise on platform technologies such as remote monitoring and management (RMM), ticketing systems, and other operational platforms.

• Provide client-facing guidance for complex technology issues involving internal and external technical resources until resolved.

• Evaluate and implement new technologies to maintain market leadership in managed services.

• Support and optimize a range of networking and security devices such as Cisco, Meraki, Fortinet, and others.

• Implement, support, and optimize various networking technologies with a focus on security and best practices.

• Self-motivated, proactive, and works independently to accomplish key company objectives and service delivery functions for valued clients.

• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment.

• Proven listening, analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Comfortable interacting with clients at all levels during presales support, technical troubleshooting, and quarterly business reviews.

• Detail-oriented and outstanding time-management skills.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

 

Job Requirements: 

Education

• Undergraduate degree in relevant field or equivalent work experience

 

Work Experience

• 3+ years providing client-facing Tier 2 / Tier 3 support for network infrastructure technologies (Firewall, Route, Switch) preferred

• 2+ years deploying or supporting various other networking technologies (SSL VPN, IPSec, SD-WAN, MPLS)

• VoIP/Webex calling experience preferred

• Experience with Remote Monitoring and Management solutions and support ticketing systems

 

Certifications Preferred

• Cisco Meraki - Support

• CCNA or CCNP or equivalent work experience

• Fortinet NSE4+

• Palo Alto PCNSA+

• Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL)

• Security certifications (Security+ or equivalent)
