Sales Manager 

Katalyst is growing again and looking for experienced sales management to join our team. We are looking to bring new leadership onto the management team to groom, coach and hold to account a team of 4-6 junior to mid-level account managers in consultative B2B technology services sales. 

 

Katalyst runs a results-driven, performance based sales organization in a lucrative part of the market. We have a tenured executive team with a proven track record that will provide you resources with the appropriate CRM applications, sales playbooks, and technical resources to enable an industry veteran the tools for a solid start. 

 

This role will include managing the sales team’s activity, sales pipeline and deal qualification to ultimately result in meeting gross profit booking as well as other KPI objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a junior and mid-level sales team focused on consultative B2B selling 

  • Achieve a services-led gross profit booking objective for the overall team 

  • Ownership of developing and managing sales pipeline for your respective team 

  • Manage the sales team in appropriate business development activity and client engagement metrics 

  • Coaching the team on the value proposition in the sales playbook 

  • Meet and exceed quarterly gross profit targets for the overall team 

  • Mentor your team in evangelizing our technical value proposition to both technical and business decision makers 

  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned 

  • Focus on relationship building with executive decision makers 

  • Manage team members through the sales process to facilitate decisions 

  • Maintain accurate Salesforce pipeline and visibility to roll up to the VP of Sales. 

  • This is a customer-facing role with travel (approximately 65% of travel – this is mostly day travel in the Carolinas) 

 

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of sales management experience with a track record of success 

  • Minimum 5 years of account management experience with a record of meeting and exceeding sales objectives 

  • Good understanding of information technology sales 

  • Familiarity with business of professional services organizations 

 

Preferred Experience


  • Security services sales experience 

  • Security software sales experience 

  • Experience in IT Security, Cloud technologies, Cisco, Netapp, Microsoft, EMC, Palo Alto, and Nutanix a plus 

  • Business relationships in the commercial mid-market and small enterprise a plus but not required. 

  • Track record of exceeding services revenue targets or software sales 

  • Proven ability to manage complex sales cycles 

  • Proven ability to sell multi-year enterprise licensing agreements 

  • Proven track record selling six figure deals 

  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with executive decision makers 

  • Excellent critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills 

  • Excellent communications and presentations skills
