Katalyst is seeking an experienced Accountant who is a self-motivated, organized, and enjoys working with a variety of people in a very dynamic environment.  Katalyst is growing and with growth, the accounting complexity increases.  Technology can be consumed in many different ways, and this creates all kinds of great opportunities from a finance/bookkeeping perspective. To be a successful Accountant with Katalyst you will need to be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, and QuickBooks Enterprise, as well as, possess our core values of grit, humility, and curiosity.


This position reports directly to the Manager of Finance.


Job Functions: 

  • Day-to-day postings for invoicing, purchase orders, Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable.

  • Primary resource for project and services billings and reconciliation as well as revenue recognition on an ongoing basis

  • Primary resource for commission tracking for sales representatives

  • Assist and prepare month end closings, quarter end closings and year end closing in Quickbooks.

  • Assist CEO with any analysis as needed.

  • Assist with payroll, employee benefits, and other HR functions as needed

  • Manage and support disbursements, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of accounts payable, purchase orders and employee expenses and payroll.

  • Manage and support accounts receivable to ensure the accurate and timely management of all accounts receivable aging components including billings, cash receipts application and collections.

  • Participate in a wide variety of special projects and compile a variety of special reports.

  • Assist in departmental budget creation and management

  • Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions.

  • All other duties as assigned


Job Requirements: 

  • Excellent skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, and QuickBooks Enterprise

  • Associates degree in accounting, finance, or related 

  • Minimum 4 years of bookkeeping/finance experience

  • Thorough understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principals

  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail

  • Ability to meet deadlines

  • Strong organizational skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Experience working in a team oriented, heavily sales oriented collaborative environment

  • Rapidly adapt and respond to changes in environment and priorities

  • Ability to handle very tedious details and complexities

  • Ability to thrive in very dynamic environment.  As technology company, there is never a dull moment
